Hispanic Heritage Month read aloud at KSL: Escritos

Join Kelvin Smith Library on Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 10:30 a.m. to noon for refreshments and a special read aloud event honoring the cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latine authors. Students and faculty from Contemporary Caribbean Literature and Latin American Poetic Revolt have selected passages to share. All are invited to listen, read and reflect together.

Success by design: the impact of digital accessibility

Join Kelvin Smith Library for a free event on digital accessibility at the Freedman Center on Oct. 31, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The event will begin with a hands-on session on accessible design techniques for resumes, presentations and more. Following that, there will be networking breaks with a complimentary breakfast and trick-or-treat scavenger hunt to discover digital accessibility tools.

Mindful activity hour with UHCS

Join University Health and Counseling Services and Kelvin Smith Library on Thursday, Oct. 10, 1-4 p.m. in the library's Art Gallery for a mindful activity hour in recognition of World Mental Health Day. This month's featured craft centers around the senses, and attendees can make stress balls and mini sensory bottles. Play-doh, Perler beads, coloring pages and snacks will also be available.
