Join us as we kick off the university’s bicentennial celebration tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 7! The celebration will start in the Tinkham Veale University Center Ballroom at 12:30 p.m. where guests can enjoy music from a live DJ, collect bicentennial swag, sample delicious food and a custom hot chocolate station, and be the first to try the Mitchell's Ice Cream bicentennial flavor. The first 200 event attendees will also receive an exclusive bicentennial gift. Registration for the Bicentennial Kickoff Celebration is requested.
Shortly after the event, the festivities continue at the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for our ”throwback” bicentennial pep rally. Enjoy free food, games, a live DJ and band, and get excited to cheer on our Spartan basketball teams immediately afterward. The first 300 in attendance will also receive a limited edition throwback jersey celebrating the founding of Western Reserve, Case Tech and Mather College.
Everyone in attendance at the basketball games will receive free concessions, giveaways, and be entered in a raffle to win prizes and compete in on-court competitions. Prizes range from $100 Amazon gift cards to a Ninja Creami.
Pre-registration is not required for the pep rally or basketball games. All undergraduates and graduates in attendance are eligible to receive the giveaways and prizes.
