Legacy Week is a yearly celebration that highlights the rich history of Case Western Reserve University and brings our community together to show our pride and school spirit. This exciting week runs from April 21 to 26, culminating with two major events: Hudson Relays—one of the longest-standing traditions at CWRU—and a campus-wide celebration at Springfest.
Hudson Relays 2025
Beginning in 1910, Hudson Relays was created to commemorate the campus move from Hudson, Ohio, to Cleveland. The race puts each class years’ best runners to the test in a 26-mile relay around campus.
Hudson Relays 2025 will take place Saturday, April 26, and features an opening and closing ceremony. Cheer your class to victory at 10 a.m. on the main quad, or join the watch party in the Jolly Scholar from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Springfest 2025
This year’s Springfest will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 3 to 10 p.m. on East Bell Commons. Join your fellow Spartans for a day of fun, food and student bands.
Springfest, which occurs the last Saturday of spring semester, is a student-planned event that celebrates CWRU and fosters campus unity. The tradition continues each year with inflatable attractions, novelty games, student organization booths and great food. Throughout the day you will hear local bands and a national headliner that entertains hundreds of CWRU students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends.
