Looking for one-time or semester-long community service opportunities? The Center for Civic Engagement and Learning’s CCEL Serves program offers students a variety of structured opportunities to get involved in the community through their Semester Serves and Flex Serves programs.
Semester Serves
Semester Serves opportunities require a weekly volunteer commitment at the same organization throughout the entire semester, beginning in mid-September. Transportation is provided by a CCEL student leader. Registration for Semester Serves opportunities opens on Friday, Aug. 30, in Campus Groups.
Flex Serves
Registration for Flex Serves opportunities are ongoing throughout the semester and are listed on Campus Groups. Registration for each event opens two weeks prior to the date of service. Opportunities include packing and sorting at the Food Bank or MedWish, serving a hot meal, or assisting with a warehouse sale with proceeds benefiting those battling cancer.
