As the Assistant Director for Teaching & Learning Technologies, I lead the team that manages and supports several academic technologies, including Canvas, Echo360, Turnitin, and more. We work with faculty, staff, and students to provide the best possible strategy and facilitate innovative teaching and learning across the University.
I began my career at CWRU as a student, majoring in Physics and History and working in first the Curriculum Support Group and then Instructional Technology & Academic Computing. While working in those roles, I completed a Masters in the History of Science, Technology, Environment, and Medicine, and became involved in system management of Blackboard and Adobe Connect. From there, my career path took me to a local community college where I worked in eLearning technology support at a large scale. I returned to CWRU in 2016 in order to help lead the LMS transition from Blackboard to Canvas and have been delighted to work with the TLT team ever since.
It is a pleasure to work with such a talented team. Our work is always interesting, and our vision as a division is to transform teaching, learning, and research is compelling and a great reason to come to work every day.
I am an avid reader, traveler, photographer, sailor (though don't own a boat), and occasional baker. I am a huge music fan, both as a cause of and result of my involvement with WRUW, the CWRU college radio station.
