Small Changes, Big Impact Campaign

Five puzzle pieces that include icons for UDOIT, links, color, alt text, and tags.

Welcome to our upcoming Small Changes, Big Impact campaign—a semester-long initiative designed to help instructors strengthen course accessibility through simple, meaningful improvements that take five minutes or less.

What This Campaign Is About

For subscribers of our Digital Accessibility Newsletter, throughout the spring semester, you’ll receive monthly mini-challenges that highlight small accessibility updates with big benefits. These are not major redesigns—they’re practical, fast, and designed to keep your workload light and help your students navigate your course more successfully.

These mini-challenges are for faculty and staff who create Canvas content and would like to learn how to create a more accessible course in a fast and simple way.

By participating, you’ll not only make your course more inclusive—you’ll also earn digital rewards, recognition, and exclusive items.

How the Campaign Works

Beginning in January, newsletter subscribers will receive:

  1. A monthly 5-minute or less accessibility mini challenge
  2. Step-by-step instructions for completing it in UDOIT.
  3. A quick submission form to report your completed challenge and receive credit.

Benefits

Complete any mini challenge and collect a badge piece

Mystery badge piece that is earned by completing one challenge.

Each month you complete a mini challenge, you’ll receive one piece of a digital mystery badge—revealed fully only to those who finish all five months.

Participants who complete all mini-challenges will receive:

  • A fully assembled digital mystery badge for LinkedIn, your email signature, or other professional platforms
  • Recognition in our monthly newsletter and in The Daily
  • A custom-designed, digital-accessibility-themed mug
