Mini-Challenges Start on January 15
Check out the mini challenges as they get updated each month until May. Or subscribe to our Small Changes, Big Impact newsletter, so that you will be the first to know when a challenge has been released.
What These Challenges Are About
The Small Changes, Big Impact mini-challenges are a semester-long initiative designed to help Canvas content creators strengthen course accessibility through simple, meaningful improvements that take five minutes or less.
Throughout the spring semester, you’ll receive monthly mini-challenges that highlight small accessibility updates with big benefits. These are not major redesigns—they’re practical, fast, and designed to keep your workload light and help your students navigate your course more successfully.
Who is This For?
These mini-challenges are for faculty and staff who create Canvas content and would like to learn how to create a more accessible course in a fast and simple way.
How the Campaign Works
Beginning in January, newsletter subscribers will receive:
- A monthly 5-minute or less accessibility mini challenge
- Step-by-step instructions for completing it in UDOIT.
- A quick submission form to report your completed challenge and receive credit.
Benefits
Participants who complete all mini-challenges will receive:
- A fully assembled digital mystery badge for LinkedIn, your email signature, and other professional platforms
- Recognition in our monthly newsletter and in The Daily
- A custom-designed, digital-accessibility-themed travel mug
