Tune in this Friday, September 21 at 10am EST for a Facebook Live event to get a behind-the-scenes look at how Case Comprehensive Cancer Center researchers right here in Cleveland area exploring new ways to detect and treat cancer. Presented in collaboration with ideastream, host Marlene Harris-Taylor will take you inside a lab with Dr. Justin Lathia from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute and Dr. Anant Madabhushi from Case Western Reserve University Department of Biomedical Engineering. These two researchers and their teams with show you how they are using innovative techniques to help unlock some of the mysteries of this disease.

This event is part of a national movement of Cancer Community Summits all taking place on September 21. We are one of more than 350 sites across the country that answered the Biden's call to share updates and discuss our local efforts to accelerate progress in cancer diagnosis, treatment and care.

Biden Cancer National Summit

Cancer has touched the lives of so many people but it can take a while for solutions to move from the lab to patients. Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden started an initiative two years ago to spotlight cancer research and to find ways to accelerate advances in cancer research. On September 21, Biden will host an event in Washington D.C. to focus on what’s being done to accelerate progress in cancer treatments.
