How the Request Process Works
We've established a straightforward process to help coordinate communications requests, establish priorities and provide timely support across the Cancer Center.
1. Submit Your Request
Complete the Communications Request Form with a brief description of your project, its purpose, intended audience and anticipated timeline. Include any relevant details or supporting materials that will help our team understand your needs.
2. Communications Team Review
Our team will review your submission, considering your objectives, audience, timing, available resources and Cancer Center priorities. We may reach out for additional information or recommend an alternative approach to help achieve your goals.
3. Plan & Move Forward
Following review, we'll confirm the proposed communications approach, anticipated timeline and any additional materials or approvals needed to proceed. Your request will be tracked internally as it moves through the communications workflow.
Planning Ahead
Early coordination helps us provide effective communications support while balancing requests from across the Cancer Center. Whenever possible, please submit requests well in advance of anticipated publication dates, events or other deadlines.
Before Submitting Your Request
- Allow adequate lead time. Routine communications requests generally require 5–10 business days. More involved projects, including new webpages, printed materials, campaigns and video production, may require several weeks.
- Gather supporting materials. Include relevant content, event details, images, links and other available resources.
- Identify important deadlines. Let us know about event dates, publication deadlines, embargoes or other time-sensitive requirements.
- Consider necessary approvals. Projects may require review or coordination with other departments, stakeholders or institutional partners.
Requested timelines and deliverables are reviewed against existing commitments, institutional priorities and available resources. The Communications Team will confirm the proposed approach and schedule after reviewing your submission.
Please do not submit patient information, protected health information (PHI) or other restricted information through the Communications Request Form.
