What is a catchment area?
A catchment area is the geographic region an NCI-designated cancer center serves or intends to serve through its research, community engagement, and outreach.
Defining this region helps Case CCC understand the communities for which it is responsible, examine patterns in cancer incidence and mortality, identify disparities, and align research and outreach with local needs.
The 15 counties in our catchment area:

A Cleveland-based consortium serving Northeast Ohio
Case CCC brings together Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals, and Cleveland Clinic in a shared effort to advance cancer research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
The consortium is centered in Cleveland, while its responsibility extends across the entire 15-county catchment area. The Cleveland marker on the map identifies that institutional collaboration; it does not represent the only place where Case CCC engages communities or where patients can access resources and care.
