Koroukian receives American Cancer Society Flatiron Health Real-World Data Impact Award

The Case Comprehensive Cancer Center extends congratulations to Siran Koroukian, PhD, as she was awarded one of three Real-World Data Impact Awards from the American Cancer Society (ACS) and Flatiron Health.

Dr. Koroukian, an associate professor of population and quantitative health sciences at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, is already funded by the ACS and will receive additional funding and access to Flatiron's national de-identified oncology datasets. She will, "conduct a retrospective cohort study using the clinical and genomic data to evaluate patterns of genomic testing and targeted therapy in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer to assess the impact of patient and practice characteristics on receipt of these services. These findings will help identify new opportunities to improve the quality and equity of cancer care in patients with advanced colorectal cancer," according to the award announcement.

Dr. Koroukian is director of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center's Population Cancer Analytics Shared Resource and a member of the Cancer Prevention, Control, & Population Research Program.
