Schiemann to Lead Athymic Animal and Preclinical Therapeutics Shared Resource

Profile of William Schiemann

We are pleased to announce that  William Schiemann, PhD has accepted the role of Director of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center's Athymic Animal and Preclinical Therapeutics Shared Resource. Schiemann joins co-Director Daniel Lindner, MD, PhD in leading the two-location facility at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute.

Schiemann is the Goodman-Blum Professor in Cancer Research and member of the Case CCC's Molecular Oncology Program. The goal of the Athymic Animal and Preclinical Therapeutic Shared Resource is to help in the evaluation of new pharmacologic agents by providing data on tumor growth, metastasis, angiogenesis and gene expression.
