One connection can have an impact for years to come.
Victor Cheloliber, MD, first learned about Case Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2010, when he attended a presentation by then-director Stan Gerson, MD, in Naples, Florida. What he heard inspired him to become involved with Case CCC and ultimately serve as Chair of Case CCC’s Naples Cancer Council.
Together, he and his wife, Linda Leatherbury Cheloliber, turned that connection into a commitment to cancer research by establishing the Linda and Victor Cheloliber Research Award.
After Dr. Cheloliber’s passing, Linda extended the couple’s original commitment by creating The Linda and Victor Cheloliber Fellowship Endowment to provide additional support specifically for a Case CCC researcher—connecting a promising scientist with resources to pursue work that could lead to tomorrow’s discoveries.
For Linda, the new endowment represents another connection: between the values Victor lived by as a physician and the scientists working to improve what is possible for patients today.
