As a cardiothoracic imager and a clinical researcher, I am very much invested in projects targeted towards improving diagnosis and management of lung cancers. My recent research work is related to dual-energy CT technology and exploring its clinical application clinical applications including lesion detection and characterization, therapy response evaluation in cancer, vascular assessment as well as reduction in radiation dose and intravenous contrast use, among others. I have also worked on projects related to the role of imaging in assessing adverse effects of precision cancer therapies and monitoring response to treatment. More recently, in collaboration with Department of Biomedical Engineering at CWRU, I have been engaged in building and validating AI-based methodologies focusing primarily on lung cancer diagnosis, prognosis and treatment response prediction.
