Brian Bolwell, MD is Chair of Physician Leadership and Development within the Mandel Global Leadership and Learning Institute at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Bolwell served as Chairman of the Taussig Cancer Institute from 2010-2021, Chairman of the Department of Hematologic Oncology & Blood Disorders from 2006-2011, and Director of the Cleveland Clinic Bone Marrow Transplant Program for 24 years. He has authored over 450 articles and abstracts concerning bone marrow transplantation, lymphoma, and other hematologic malignancies. Dr. Bolwell has edited the textbook “Current Controversies of Bone Marrow Transplantation” (Humana Press, 2000), and is co-editor of the textbook “Clinical Malignant Hematology” (McGraw Hill, 2007). Dr. Bolwell is an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Blood, Annals of Internal Medicine, and many other scientific periodicals. Dr. Bolwell has served as a grant reviewer for the National Cancer Institute on multiple occasions. He has also served on leadership committees for the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the Center for International Bone Marrow Transplantation Research (CIBMTR).
