Dr. Yilmaz is a head & neck medical oncologist at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute. He is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Dr. Yilmaz completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, followed by a medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine and a hematology & oncology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After finishing his fellowship, Dr. Yilmaz joined the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2016. He led the head & neck and Phase I clinical working groups at the University of New Mexico until joining Cleveland Clinic in 2021. Dr. Yilmaz is a clinical investigator with a research focus on translational research in immune biomarkers in head & neck cancers and thyroid carcinomas. He is a member of the National Cancer Institute Head & Neck Steering Committee Rare Tumor Task Force.
