Professor Ye Fan Wang Glavin's specialty is population health policy research and health equity, focusing her work on integrating data and fostering innovation in public care systems both in the U.S. and globally to improve outcomes for marginalized populations. Her extensive work for the Asian American and Pacific Islander AAPI community, including her tenure as Ohio's inaugural AAPI Commissioner and her leadership of the AAPI HealthCoalition, has established critical initiatives addressing social determinants of health and enhancing community infrastructure. Specifically focusing on cancer, her recent endeavors include leading an NIH pilot grant to increase AAPI participation in clinical trials, which is directly resulting in the development of a much-needed community cancer prevention and navigation system in collaboration between academic and community organizations.Internationally, she contributes through teaching and consultation on integrated health, including Taiwan’s Integrated Health and Long-Term Care initiative and China’s Primary andPost-acute Care, and has authored or edited three policy books (2016, 2022, and 2025) while serving on the editorial board of the International Journal of Integrated Care (IJIC). Throughall these data-centered initiatives and her academic publishing, Dr. Wang remains committed to advancing equitable access, quality, and involvement in clinical research, a dedication recognized by the 2024 Case School of Medicine Diversity Faculty Award and the 2024 Ohio Minority Health Commission Leadership Award.
