I am an associate staff member in the Department of Orthopedics and Principal Investigator in the Translational Hematology and Oncology Research (THOR) Department in the Lerner Research Institute. I am passionate about forging meaningful and sustainable connections between the lab and the clinic to facilitate clinically driven research questions. I am an early-stage investigator with a lab focusing on multi-omic characterization of patient-derived sarcoma samples from multiple time points and disease sites on the patient journey in order to improve risk stratification, identify novel therapeutic targets, and personalize care for patients. Additionally, I have worked closely with my mentors, Dr. Gary Schwartz of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center and Jacob Scott in THOR, to develop a research program evaluating the evolution of treatment resistance in sarcoma with the goal of exploiting collateral sensitivity in personalized treatment.
