Case CCC's Stop the Burn campaign is helping make sun protection more accessible for children, families, and outdoor recreation enthusiasts by providing free sunscreen at municipal pools, splash pads, water attractions, beaches, and parks across Northeast Ohio.
Through partnerships with local communities, the initiative brings sunscreen directly to places where families and residents gather outdoors, encouraging simple sun-safe behaviors that can help reduce the risk of skin cancer and promote lifelong prevention habits.
Beyond prevention, Stop the Burn also supports melanoma research. Community members can scan the QR code displayed on sunscreen kiosks and dispensers to complete a brief voluntary survey, providing researchers with valuable data to better understand why melanoma rates are high in Northeast Ohio and inform future strategies for prevention, education, and early detection.
