The Founder’s Circle is a leadership network within the Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy. Marian K. Shaughnessy’s vision for an academy to prepare nurse leaders was born of her own experience as a nurse, which spanned bedside to boardroom. She saw that nurses were in positions to make change but often not empowered or prepared to make change. It is in the spirit of empowerment that the Founder’s Circle was created.
The Founder’s Circle meets virtually approximately 6–7 times during the academic year—to share ideas, discuss emerging trends in nursing, and engage with national and global leaders. Members help shape the goals and priorities of the Founder’s Circle and enjoy valuable peer-to-peer mentoring. Continuing Education (CE) credits are available.
