Rozella M. Schlotfeldt Lecture featuring Howard Catton
On Monday, October 12, 2026, the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing honored the legacy of Rozella M. Schlotfeldt through a special lecture featuring Mr. Howard Catton, CEO of the International Council of Nurses. His keynote explored the vital role of nurses in shaping health policy at the local, national, and global levels. The event was offered both in person in Cleveland and via livestream, with the American Nurses Association-Ohio serving as co-sponsor.
Second Annual Nurse Executive Summit
On August 11, the Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy co-hosted the 2nd Annual Nurse Executive Summit with Accenture in Chicago, bringing together more than 100 nurse executives and leaders for a day focused on academic–practice partnerships and the future of nursing leadership. Speakers included Dr. Joyce Fitzpatrick, as well as representatives from Loyola University Chicago, Rush University, AONL, Hippocratic AI, and several other leading organizations. Discussions explored academic–practice partnerships, workforce transformation, innovative care models, AI, and the evolving role of nursing leadership.
