Safely Home Inc. Practicum Residency Program

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences is excited to offer first- or second-year on-campus MSW students a unique collaborative and immersive hands-on experience in residential treatment, while supporting their housing needs during their field education.

The Mandel School, in partnership with the Safely Home Inc., will offer free, fully furnished six-bedroom housing for two to four students for each academic year while the student is in practicum affiliation with Safely Home Inc.

Safely Home Inc. is a therapeutic residential care program dedicated to supporting youth with emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges. Their mission is to provide a safe, structured and nurturing environment that empowers individuals to reach their fullest potential.

Modeled after the Settlement House movement of the mid-nineteenth century, the practicum and housing arrangement brings students from various specializations (child and family practice, trauma informed practice, community practice for social change) to learn, work and live together and provide clinical and administrative support services to Safely Home Inc.
