Rowan Chinwalla
Class Year: 2024
Program: Doctor of Dental Medicine

Why did you choose Case Western Reserve University?
I chose Case Western Reserve because both of my parents did their graduate education at CWRU. My dad went to dental school and completed his residency, and my mom completed her PhD here.

Were you involved in activities outside of class?
I was involved in Delta Sigma Delta, which is a dental fraternity. I got involved because I saw it as a great way to get to know my classmates and other students in other classes.  I was also involved in the Oral Surgery Club. I got involved because I was interested in Oral Surgery and I knew I wanted to pursue a residency in it.

What’s your favorite memory of Case Western Reserve?
One of my favorite memories is going to our Dental School formal and getting to enjoy a great night with friends, classmates and faculty.

What are your plans after graduation?
I’ll be doing a residency at Case in Oral Surgery

As a graduating student, what is a piece of advice you would like to give current students?
I’d just encourage students to learn as much as they can from every opportunity, even if it seems like it’s not the most significant experience. I would also encourage them to pursue their goals and dreams, and to not hold back on going for what they want to accomplish.
