Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE) Pass Rates


Congratulations to the Class of 2023, the first School of Dental Medicine class that has prepared for and taken the INBDE, as they have all achieved a 100% first time pass rate—zero failures.


Inaugural Kenneth B. Chance, DDS, Endowed Distinguished Lectureship held on Nov. 17

Dean Kenneth B. Chance, President of the Supreme Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and his family established this series in honor of the 130th Anniversary of the School of Dental Medicine. Featuring Jon B. Suzuki, DDS, PhD, MBA, the focus of the lecture, "Excellence: the pathway to leadership", is a topic and perspective not only central to the field of dental medicine, but it is applicable to all disciplines.


Veterans Day Clinic 2022

As part of continued efforts to extend dental care benefits to veterans, the School of Dental Medicine Dental Clinic offered oral care services for veterans and military personnel on Friday, Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day . 


Homecoming and Reunion Weekend 2022

On the weekend of Oct. 6-8, the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine celebrated Homecoming and Reunion Weekend. This year’s celebration was extra special as we are recognizing the 130th year anniversary of the School of Dental Medicine and we enjoyed seeing the more than 200 alumni in attendance over the weekend.


42nd Annual Professionals Day

Instituted to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of pre-doctoral and postdoctoral students who have undertaken research projects focused on oral health, the 42nd annual Professionals Day, held on Wednesday, Oct. 12,  captured the inextricable connection between scientific discovery and application of that new knowledge in clinical practice to improve patient care and patient health. 


2022 White Coat Ceremony

On Friday, Aug. 5, the School of Dental Medicine celebrated our 2022 White Coat Ceremony during which the entering Class of 2026 received their white coats signifying the beginning of their journey in dentistry. A lovely reception was held at the Tinkham Veale University Center Ballroom where friends and family also gathered in support of our new students.


Spring 2022 Faculty Retreat

On Monday, May 16, the School of Dental Medicine faculty met  at the Tinkham Veale University Center for the semi-annual faculty retreat. After breakfast in one of the center’s ballrooms, each department chair shared updates from the 2022-2023 school year. The group talked about the future of the SODM in addition to recognizing each other’s achievements.
