Alumni, faculty, staff and students gathered on April 23 to hear Thomas Van Dyke, DDS, PhD (DEN ‘73) present “What Is the Potential for Changing Dental Practice Through University-Based Dental Research?” Attendees learned about Dr. Van Dyke’s research on periodontitis and the effects of new molecules BLXM4-ME applied topically through a mouthwash to reduce inflammatory mechanisms and treat the disease.
