Tour the Gallery: Guided Tour of the Cleveland Museum of Art

Alumni and guests of the School of Dental Medicine are invited to take part in this guided walking tour of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Enjoy a special focus on the museum's new exhibition, Color and Comfort: Swedish Modern Design – curated by CWRU Art History and Museum Studies MA students – an exploratory introduction to the bold, colorful patterning that defines the national nostalgia for Swedish cultural heritage and has been used to define a broader modern Scandinavian style.

Please be advised that we are unable to provide early admittance or waiting accommodations prior to the tour. Please arrive a few minutes before 10am because the doors do not open until 10am.

Enjoy a phenomenal lunch and join the entire Case Western Reserve University community for one of the most memorable gatherings on campus. President Barbara R. Snyder will share the State of the University including innovative research news and alumni updates. The recipients of the University 2019 Alumni Association Awards, which includes Sara Fields, Director of Alumni Relations for the School of Dental Medicine, who will be receiving the Newton D. Baker Distinguished Service Award, will take place during the lunch.

Think Forum: Clinical Dentistry for Preschoolers, Older Children, and Teens

Theodore P. Croll, DDS, Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, will present Clinical Dentistry for Preschoolers, Older Children, and Teens. This course, shown through pictorial displays and open dialogue, demonstrates what can be achieved when facing youngsters with an array of clinical challenges. Some of the challenges to be covered include biomimetic stratification repair of permanent teeth, resin-based composite crown fabrication for a microdont permanent lateral incisor, and more!

Attendees can also expect to participate in discussions regarding scientific writing for publication, inventions in dentistry, and the business, art, and science of private practice.

2 hours of dental continuing education credited provided.

Homecoming and Reunion Weekend is for all of our alumni and friends - but members of the classes ending in 4 and 9 are invited to a special celebration in honor of their anniversary from the School of Dental Medicine! Begin your evening at an all-class reception in the Six Continents Foyer of the InterContinental Cleveland, complete with cocktails and light appetizers. After the reception, head to your individual dinner locations in the hotel for a wonderful meal. You will take your commemorative class photo to memorialize this special occasion during dinner.

Enjoy a lovely evening of laughter, recalling old memories and creating new ones over dinner with members of your class. Opportunities for your entire class to get together come around only once every 5 years - this is YOUR YEAR!

Then be treated to a tour of the Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion on the Health Education Campus that also features the new Dental Clinic. Do not miss this opportunity to tour this one of a kind facility!

This event is in collaboration with the School of Medicine and the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing.
