Grace Vibbert

Instructional Media Specialist, School of Dental Medicine

While I report directly to the University’s Chief Data Architect, I also report to the Director of Clinics for the School of Dental Medicine. I deal with several data sources, most importantly the patient health record (axiUm).  I put that data to work for the school including reporting, analysis and improvements to clinical operations.  Most of the data I work with deals with daily clinical operations, though I do also occasionally produce data for researchers, annual accreditation reports or “Data concierge" services.

The position was formerly called Director of Business Analytics and process improvement, and while the duties have not changed much (other than being even more business analytics and process improvement focused!), the title changed to the simpler Business Systems Analyst III when the position moved from directly under the Dental School to under University Technology in 2021.

I came to work at CWRU in the summer of 1999. I started out in Central IT for the University where I served in varied roles such as a Help Desk Analyst, Documentation Specialist and Network-ID Administrator. I had a brief stint as a Call Center Operations Coordinator and Root Cause Analysis for an outside firm before moving to the Dental School as a Desktop Support Specialist in 2007 and then the Instructional Media Specialist (2010 to 2018).

In my free time I am an artist/illustrator and avid hobbyist collecting crafts. It is my joy and privilege to serve annually as the Tooth Fairy for the School’s Give Kids a Smile Day.
