The International Journal of Ethical Leadership (IJEL) is an academic journal that expands the interdisciplinary, international conversation on what ethical leadership requires. In 2012, the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) established IJEL, which is published by The Inamori Center in partnership with The University of Akron Press and the CWRU School of Law.
The mission of the IJEL is to spread awareness of the fact that every worthwhile human endeavor requires the application and embodiment of ethical leadership to succeed, endure, and produce positive outcomes for present and future generations. The editors’ aim is to expand the transdisciplinary, international conversation that is ongoing around the question of what ethical leadership requires. Our goal with each issue of this journal is to highlight a range of perspectives on ethical leadership in theory and action around the globe. Our intention is not to endorse particular opinions, but to host a trusted forum for readers to explore a diversity of views.
