Inamori Center Director and Professor of Philosophy, Shannon E. French, debated at the Oxford Union —the oldest debating organization in the world. Prof. French was paired with Dr. Sean McFate to debate on the topic of holding arms manufacturers accountable for war crimes. The Oxford Union is known for hosting such notable figures as Winston Churchill, the Dalai Lama, Mother Theresa, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Albert Einstein, and Stephen Hawking.
