The U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and The CGSC foundation cohosted the 2023 CGSC Military Ethics Symposium April 20-21, 2023 at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas. The theme of the symposium was “Revision or Revival?: Examining Just War Theory in Context of the Ukraine-Russia War and its Implications for Organizational-level Leaders in 21st Century Large-Scale Combat Operations.” The keynote presenter was the CGSC Foundation’s General Hugh Shelton Distinguished Visiting Chair of Ethics Prof. Shannon E. French. Accompanying French from the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence in the discussion were research associates and panelists Prof. Jessica Wolfendale and and Dr. Jonathan French Flint.
