Intensive/Distance-Friendly Courses

These courses are offered on the Case Western Reserve University campus from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for three-to-eight consecutive days, depending on the course. This format offers the same contact hours, depth of content, and learning opportunities as the standard format while allowing nurses to continue their education with few trips to campus.

Course syllabi are available approximately one month in advance so that required readings can be completed before the class begins. Major papers are due four to six weeks after the intensive class has ended. The courses below listed as "web-based" can be completed from a distance with limited on-campus time.

Online Courses

The following courses are offered on-line and follow the regular university semester schedule for Fall, Spring and Summer.

  • NUND 450 (3 credits): Applied Statistics
  • NUND 510 (1 credit): Informatics
  • NUND 610 (3 credits): Translating Evidence into Nursing Practice

Housing Information

Students are responsible for their own expenses associated with transportation, lodging, and meals for the courses taught on campus as five, eight-hour day intensive classes.
