Welcome to "Ask tltaccessibility," the interactive talk show where we delve into the world of digital accessibility! From 2:00- 2:30pm every Friday, we'll explore the best practices for making digital content accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities. From accessible documents to captions, we'll cover a range of topics that are crucial for creating an inclusive digital environment.

Our aim is not just to inform, but also to engage. We believe that learning is a two-way street, so we encourage you, our audience, to actively participate. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just curious about digital accessibility, your questions and insights are invaluable.

Ally for Canvas | August 23

We will be exploring Anthology Ally, typically referred to as just Ally or Ally for Canvas. Ally is an accessibility tool that is integrated into Canvas and provides an accessibility score for your course. Learn how you can use Ally to make your course more accessible.

Accessible Formatting in Canvas | August 30

We will demonstrate how to apply the best accessibility practices to your Canvas course. This includes adding alternative text (alt text) to images and formatting headings, lists, and tables properly using the Rich Content Editor. Learn how to create an accessible Canvas course for your students or team.

We will be discussing alternative text and its application in an academic setting. October's Topic | Accessibility in Microsoft Office Suite

Microsoft Office Accessibility Checker | October 4

We will show you how to use the Microsoft Office Accessibility Checker for Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. We'll address common issues in each program and explain how to resolve them. Learn how to improve accessibility in your Microsoft Office documents with the Microsoft Office Accessibility Checker.
