The School of Dental Medicine Class of 2023 received their diplomas in the beautiful Silver Hall of The Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center at The Temple-Tifereth Israel on Saturday, May 20.
"You have not only witnessed a global pandemic and formed within yourselves the ability to adapt accordingly, but you have also cultivated something deep within your identity that can never be shaken," said Dean Kenneth Chance (DEN '79). "Throughout all of these trials and tribulations—these hurdles and setbacks—you had to know that you, the class of 2023, are called to this profession. You have had to stand on perseverance."
After remarks by Dean Chance, the keynote address was given by Thomas Van Dyke, DDS, (DEN '73) with a welcome given by Kari Cunningham (DEN '10, '12). The DMD senior class president Ji-hoon Min and student council president Catherine Ramsey Kenney both gave parting comments, as well.
Several awards were given, including the Delta Dental Fund Community Commitment Award which was presented to Eduardo Santos by Dean Chance.
Congratulations to the Class of 2023!
