To Our Faculty and Staff:
I am pleased to share updates regarding two of the three child care initiatives the university announced last week.
The first involves a child care subsidy of up to $600 for the semester. Reserved for those earning less than $100,000 with children in kindergarten through fourth grade, the funds are available to families within districts offering remote instruction, and requires documentation from the district as well as the school (public or private) that online classes are the only option provided.
Faculty and staff must complete and submit this form to AskHR@case.edu no later than 5 p.m. (EDT), Saturday, Oct. 31. Applicants should include school and district documentation, as well as receipts for payments to child care providers, along with the form.
In addition, the university’s One to One and Next Level fitness locations will be offering up to three hours of group child care on weekdays, by appointment only. No more than six children in kindergarten through fourth grade are permitted in either space at one time; operating hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fees for this service depend on income: $4 an hour for those earning up to $50,000 a year; $7 an hour for those earning between $50,001 and $99,999 a year; and $10 an hour for those earning $100,000 or more annually.
