Crisis Resources
At Case Western Reserve University, our Student Wellness Resources bring together a range of vital supports—crisis hotlines, 24/7 on-campus help, wellness tools, and peer-led programs—to ensure every student can access help when they need it most. Through the University Health & Counseling Services, we embrace a holistic approach to well-being that integrates emotional, physical, spiritual, and social health, empowering you to live well, learn well, and thrive as part of our community.
Public Safety/ Crisis Response Clinicians
If you or someone else is experiencing an emergency, call for assistance immediately. If you are on-campus call Public Safety at 216.368.3333 if off campus call 911. CWRU police officers are trained in crisis response and may respond with a crisis response clinician if one is available.
University Health & Counseling Services
Students can make same-day or next day appointments through myhealthconnect.case.edu. A counselor on call is available outside of clinic hours by calling 216.368.5872.
TimelyCare
TimelyCare offers 24/7 virtual mental health and medical support at no cost to students. We highly recommend you use this option if you are needing support quick or outside of clinic hours. Students can typically be connected to virtual mental health support within 5 minutes.
Dean of Students Care Referral
Anyone (students, faculty, staff, parents, community members) can submit a care referral if they are worried about a student. This is not for emergency purposes, care referrals are only reviewed during business hours.
Student Emergency Funds
Students can submit expenses for mental health care or medical emergencies to the student medical and mental health emergency funds. In addition, students who encounter an unforeseen financial emergency or event which would otherwise prevent them from continuing their education at Case Western Reserve University can apply for the student emergency fund through the Dean of Students.
