Learn From An Expert
Meet Dr. Sheryl Burgstahler: Founder of Accessible Technology Services at the University of Washington, including the renowned DO-IT Center and IT Accessibility Team. From 1992 to 2023, she championed the success of students with disabilities through innovative technology and universal design. Now retired, Dr. Burgstahler continues to inspire as a disability studies educator, author, and speaker.

She will discuss the university’s digital accessibility policy, provide background information, and present a brief progress report on digital accessibility initiatives at CWRU. |

Disability ResourcesEboni Porter, the Director of Disability Resources at CWRU, will explain best practices for student accommodations. She will cover important information that faculty should know when contacted by Disability Resources. Specifically, she will address what actions faculty should take upon receiving a student accommodation letter and what is expected of them afterward. |
