On-Campus Housing for 2021-2022

To Our Undergraduates:

As Interim President Scott Cowen and Provost Ben Vinson wrote Tuesday, Case Western Reserve is planning for a full return to campus in August—including on-campus housing. While we recognize the potential for pandemic developments to change this approach, existing case trends and the growing availability of vaccines make a more typical fall appear increasingly likely.

Given that context, we are writing you today to outline the housing information and registration process for the 2021-2022 academic year. Please know that if we need to make any adjustments between now and move-in days, we will contact you promptly and provide as much information as we have at that moment.

For those of you who have not previously participated in room selection, the entire process is outlined on the University Housing website. Even if you have experienced selection already, we strongly advise a close review of the information so you are aware all key steps and deadlines.

University Housing will host several virtual information sessions for rising second-year students and then also for upper-class students. You can find the full schedule online. Students who may need medical accommodations should contact the Disability Resources Office for information on the application process.

If you would like assistance in finding one or more roommates, Case Western Reserve offers the My College Roomie matching program. Once students submit their housing applications, they will receive a link to create a profile on the site.

Information about room and board rates for the next academic year is available on the housing website. Our office will email you when individual housing applications and lottery group applications become available on the housing website.

Finally, if you have any questions at any point in the coming months, please call 216.368.3780 or email housing@case.edu. You can also call or email to schedule a Zoom appointment to ask questions and/or discuss options.

We look forward to welcoming you to campus this fall.
