For Patients

Thank you for considering the CWRU School of Dental Medicine Orthodontics Clinic as a provider for your child’s orthodontic treatment. Below is an explanation of the steps needed to become a patient in the teenage clinic. Other clinics are available for different ages and other specific orthodontic problems.

1. Call our clinic at 216.368.8665 or email ortho@case.edu to schedule a complimentary screening appointment. At this appointment, your child will be evaluated to see if he/she needs orthodontic treatment at this time and whether or not your child meets the criteria to be accepted into our program. If you are an existing patient, call 216.368.3249 or your resident doctor (see table below) or email ortho@case.edu.

2. Once the treatment plan is completed, you will be called to schedule an appointment for a consultation. Your resident will discuss the treatment plan and answer any questions you may have. At this appointment you will also schedule the treatment start date with your resident doctor. Routine appointments are scheduled in the mornings on Mondays through Thursdays. We are closed on Fridays.

3. If you have dental insurance that covers orthodontic treatment, bring your insurance information on the day your child starts treatment. We will be able to print an insurance form for you and explain the reimbursement process. Payment from the insurance company is sent to the insured. The department does not take assignment directly.
