In some circumstances, Case Western Reserve University employees can be considered for alternative work arrangements. To see if you qualify, review the Alternative Work Arrangements Policy, Alternative Work Arrangements Procedure, and discuss your options with your supervisor or an Employee Relations representative. Alternative work arrangements are considered on a case-by-case basis and include the following:
- Flexible Work Schedules
- Flexible Work Weeks (i.e., Flextime)
- Reduced Schedule (i.e., Part-Time, at least 18.75 or 20 hours/week)
- Flexible Staffing Options
- Job Sharing
- Multiple Concurrent Jobs (limited to a total of 37.5 or 40 hour)
Alternative work arrangements are separate from the university's Staff Hybrid Remote Work Program, which includes hybrid remote work and compressed work weeks (e.g., four ten hour shifts).
All employees seeking Alternative Work Arrangements must complete and sign the Alternative Work Arrangement Option Request Form and submit the request to the supervisor to start the approval process.
