We are committed to your success and our student advancement team provides ongoing connection and support to students from day one with the Mandel School. This support continues until students complete their degree requirements. We provide regular check-ins with each student and proactively support well-being initiatives that foster a sense of belonging within the Mandel School community.

All Mandel School students will be connected with a Student Advancement Specialist (SAS) who will serve as a liaison to support, refer and guide students in the social work and nonprofit management degree programs. Student Advancement Specialists also develop and provide student-centered programming, such as new student orientation, career planning workshops and skill-building lessons for successfully managing graduate school.

Student Advancement Specialists will support and help you navigate all aspects of your graduate education and work closely with academic advisors, field faculty advisors , teaching faculty, and various University programs to promote your success and increase satisfaction across our programs.  We are one of the few schools of social work that have this added layer of student support.
