The Mock Study Section offered investigators a hands-on opportunity to experience the grant peer review process firsthand. During this interactive, half-day session, participants observed and engaged in a simulated study section that replicated how grant applications are evaluated.
The session provided valuable insight into reviewer perspectives on significance, innovation, approach, and overall impact, while highlighting common strengths and weaknesses that can influence scoring and funding decisions.
