How to Apply

The K12 program is seeking three (3) candidates for the upcoming application window. 

We will be accepting Letters of Intent for the next cohort of K12 Scholars. Letters of Intent should be submitted via InfoReady.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applications must include the following materials:

Requirements:

1. Letter of Intent (*One page, 11 pt font, ½” margins) briefly describing:
   1. Career goals, including 5-year goals and how the K12 would help accomplish those goals 
   2. Research project overview
   3. Impact of the project and K12 training for multidisciplinary research (e.g., new line of collaborative research, external funding, etc.)
   4. Proposed mentor(s), if identified (not a requirement for consideration), and
2. Curriculum Vitae

The InfoReady application will be released on October 15, 2026. 

FORMATTING INSTRUCTIONS

1. File type: PDF only
2. Include your name on every page
3. Font: Arial, Helvetica, Palatino Linotype, or Georgia, size 11+
4. Line spacing: Single-spaced, max six lines per inch
5. Type density: Max 15 characters per inch
6. Paper size: 8.5" x 11"
7. Margins: At least 0.5" on all sides
8. Text must be clear, black ink, legible, single-sided
9. Pages must be numbered (no suffixes such as 5a, 5b)

Applications that do not follow page limits and formatting guidelines will not be considered.
