Hosted by the Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC), this summit brings together researchers, clinicians, technologists, policymakers, and community leaders to foster collaboration and share practical insights.
Highlights include a keynote address, spotlight talks from academic innovators, a poster session, and an engaging point–counterpoint debate on the potential for AI-driven approaches to improve health outcomes in rural communities. The event will conclude with a reception, offering opportunities to connect, continue the conversation, and build new partnerships.

Dr. John Piette is a Professor of Global Public Health at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on evidence-based approaches to self-management support and community mental health service delivery. His program for training and delivery of behavioral health services has been embraced by governmental and community organizations in the Americas. Dr. Piette's teaching, training, and research focus primarily on advancing the science of AI applications for community engagement, capacity-building, and quality improvement in health services globally.

Led by Dr. Kate Weber (CWRU), The Collaboration Lab is an interactive, team-based design session focused on developing innovative research ideas at the intersection of AI, chronic disease, and rural health disparities in Ohio.
