Earn 30 Contact Hours. Meet Basic Stats Course Reqs with Our Self-Guided Learning Modules.
If you have not taken a basic statistics course in the past five years or need a refresher before your required NUND 450 Applied Statistics class, try our Stat Camp for enrolled DNP and MSN students.
This 30-contact hour program consists of 10 modules. Whether you need to be introduced to the foundations of statistics or just get reacquainted, our goal is to prepare you to be successful in our NUND 450 course. These modules include:
- A review of basic statistical concepts;
- A review of basic research techniques such as sampling;
- A review of univariate statistical analysis;
- A review of bivariate statistical analysis; and
- An overview of commonly used statistical tests.
The modules align with an existing workbook:
Fred Pyrczak (2010). Making Sense of Statistics (5th ed.). Pyrczak Publishing: Glendale, California.
Lessons are often augmented by recorded online lectures and web-based resources. You can work at your own pace and on your own schedule since there are no deadlines to complete each module.
Earning Credits and Their Costs
Upon successful completion of each module, the student will be awarded 3 contact hours. Upon completion of all 10 modules, the student will receive a certificate entitling them to 30 contact hours and allowing them to enroll in NUND 450. The cost of the series is $750.00.
