Andreja Romanchik

IACUC Coordinator

Andreja Romanchik is the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) coordinator at Case Western Reserve University. She has more than nine years of research administration experience in the IACUC Office. She joined CWRU in 2006 in the Animal Resource Center (ARC) as the department assistant, supporting investigators, research staff and the ARC office. Andreja works closely with investigators, research staff, the ARC team, IACUC staff and the IACUC in the review and approval process of animal protocols.

In addition, she provides Cayuse system training, processes billing for entities contracting with the CWRU IACUC and handles internal office purchases. She also tracks and audits protocol reviews for approval to ensure continued compliance with government regulation and guidelines.

In her spare time, Andreja enjoys spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She also volunteers at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital as a “cuddler,” holding and interacting with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and step-down infant unit.
