IACUC/ARC Training

To work with animals at Case Western Reserve University, all researchers must submit a protocol to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) using the protocol submission system Cayuse. All users need a CWRU User ID and password to log into Cayuse and Canvas sites.

Process for New Investigators

Using your Chrome browser, you can navigate to the Cayuse login page. You must have an account in Cayuse to be added to a protocol. If you do not have an account in Cayuse, your PI or lab manager may request an account by completing a Cayuse (eSirius3G) Account Request Form

If you do not have a university ID, PIs and/or lab managers may request an affiliate ID for you by completing a CWRU Affiliate ID Request

A completed Occupational Health Questionnaire is required for all personnel listed on a protocol. If you are using chemical or biological hazardous material, the appropriate chemical or biological hazard use form must be submitted and approved.

All of your completed training will be documented in your Cayuse Training/Education History file. Please take advantage of the IACUC Office and their training assistance to make your transition to Cayuse as effortless as possible.
