MTDC equals total direct costs less the following exclusions: capital expenditures; any amount over the first $25,000 of each subcontract (aka, subrecipient agreement) issued by CWRU; hospitalization and other fees associated with patient care whether the services are obtained from an owned, related or third party hospital or other medical facility; rental/maintenance of off-site activities; student tuition remission and student support costs (e.g., student aid, dependency allowances, scholarships, fellowships).

Overhead Rates: Training

All locations are 8%.

General rule: Basis is Total Direct Cost (TDC) less tuition, fees and equipment. However, exclusions may vary among sponsors. Check specific sponsor guidelines.
