Erin has over 20 years of experience in the research and human subjects protections fields. In her position, she is an integral part of the CWRU Institutional Review Board (IRB) Office, where she works closely with faculty, staff and students. Erin is involved in facilitating IRB submissions for review, as well as educating the research community on ethical concerns regarding regulatory requirements of human subject research.
Before joining the CWRU IRB, she worked as an IRB coordinator in a large academic medical center IRB for nine years. Erin also served as the compliance manager in the Center for Global Health and Diseases in School of Medicine, where she assisted faculty in ensuring compliance with local and foreign human subjects protections.
Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from John Carroll University and a Master of Public Health degree from Case Western Reserve University. She has held her Certified IRB Professional (CIP) certification since 2008.
