Johnny Sams, director of Research Security Programs, oversees the development and implementation of programming and processes to protect the research enterprise at Case Western Reserve University from misuse and/or illegal exploitation. This oversight includes ensuring compliance with federal laws, policies, and procedures around the conduct of research, applying for funding, reporting and dissemination of research output. Having joined CWRU in 2011, Johnny brings more than a decade of research, data and administrative experience to his current role and is passionate about responsible stewardship of all matters of research. His education includes a Master of Arts in Psychology degree with a specialization in experimental research and a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
