Martell Jackson is the associate director of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) Office at Case Western Reserve University. Martell has over six years of experience in human subject research. He started as a research assistant during his first three years at Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. He served as project coordinator and research associate on grant funded research projects involving community research. The projects entail education and community advocacy pertaining to health disparities such as HIV and lead poisoning. He is now a research compliance officer for CWRU IRB and oversees edits of new studies, approval of modifications, continuing reviews and study closures. Martell is a board member of CWRU IRB Advisory Board, which meets on a monthly basis to discuss human subject compliance matters. He holds a master's degree in science of management with a concentration of healthcare administration from Weatherhead School of Management and is a graduate of Cleveland State University School of Health Sciences.
